Come experience all the Scottish pageantry and tradition of this grand ball, a high point of the Washington social season. Over 65 years the Tartan Ball has grown from a small country dance into a major highlight of the Washington social season. On this special anniversary we honor a gentleman who helped foster the Tartan Ball’s spectacular evolution, Mr. Thomas James Murray. Set in the Mayflower’s Grand Ballroom and conjuring images of a more elegant era, this black tie gala boasts dazzling cocktails, fine cuisine, and a guided single malt scotch tasting. Come bid on the many fine Silent Auction items and enjoy performances by our Pipes and Drums and Highland Dancers. Attendance is open to all lovers of Scottish pageantry and culture!
